Be on Alert for scammers

Members of the public are asked to disregard any communication from a police officer, requiring the sharing of personal information, particularly via messaging platforms.

Police officers will not reach out via Viber, WhatsApp, Messenger, Email or any other messaging platforms, asking for personal information such as your PIN, One Time Password (OTP), or share links requiring you to share or download.

We urge due diligence, and request that you do not click on links or download attachments from unknown numbers using the Police logo.
