20 year old arrested for robbery

Ba Police have made an arrest in relation to a case of robbery, where a 59-year-old woman was robbed in her home in Moto, Ba in May.

Arrested is a 20-year-old man who has been charged with one count of Robbery and one count of Breach of Bail Condition.

The accused is alleged to have on the 9th of May, 2024 entered the victim’s home, and after he was confronted by the victim, he allegedly assaulted her, stole jewellery and cash before fleeing the scene.

Following weeks of investigation and information gathering, investigators managed to identify the accused, whereby he was brought in for questioning.

He was formally charged and will be produced at the Ba Magistrates Court tomorrow.
