Information sharing encouraging

Information continues to be received regarding the alleged involvement of those involved in the illicit drug trade.

Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations (ACP) Livai Driu said the sharing of information is a positive sign of police-community collaboration in curbing the illicit trade.

Yesterday, a raid conducted in Tacirua Heights resulted in the arrest of a 47-year old man who was allegedly in the process of packing white substances believed to be methamphetamine.

ACP Driu said a further search conducted resulted in the discovery of syringes and equipment allegedly used for the packing of the illicit substances.

The suspect was taken into custody with the seized substances sent for analysis.
