death under investigation

An investigation is underway following the death of a 33-year-old man after he was allegedly assaulted in Suva yesterday morning.

The alleged incident was reported by medical authorities after the victim was brought in to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital.

He was rushed to the CWM Hospital after 1am in the morning and was admitted in critical condition, until he passed away yesterday afternoon.

A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the victim’s cause of death as investigations continue.
