Community Policing Senior Managers meeting


A two-day Community Policing Senior Manager’s meeting is currently underway at the Eastern Division Headquarters training room at the Nakasi Police Station. Opening the meeting was the Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations, (ACP) Livai Driu who stressed the importance of community policing as the proactive arm of policing.

The two day meet sees all four Divisional Manager Community Policing heads, cluster chiefs and community policing officers meet to discuss areas of improvement.

With the theme, Building Bridges, Bridging the Gap, Partnership – Towards a Resilient Community, ACP Driu said with community policing at the forefront of policing efforts, the meeting is timely for the managers to come together and discuss best practices. ACP Diriu said when community policing is done right, more than half the battle of policing is won, through proactive policing.
