JICA TRAINING FOR SP PARMESH RAM

The Deputy Director Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for Support Services, Superintendent of Police (SP) Parmesh Ram will leave our shores tomorrow morning for Japan.

SP Ram will be attending a three weeks course on "Countermeasures against Cybercrime" under the JICA Knowledge Co-creation Program (KCCP).

He said that the opportunity came as a suprise but he was honored to be choosen for this short course. Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew this morning said SP Parmesh's selection is a wonderful opportunity for the organization.

"Your selection will enhance our capabilities in dealing with Cybercrime issues. Do share your knowledge with young officers and we will be in a better place in dealing with scams," said Mr Chew.

The Acting Commissioner said when dealing with Cybercrime issues in terms of investigation, officers will be dealing alot with software components and the internet.

SP Parmesh is scheduled to return at the end of this month.
