The Fiji Police Force officially farewelled its Force Chaplain, Reverend Waisale Tikowale in an early morning thanksgiving service.
Rev. Tikowale said his five years in the Fiji Police Force has been a memorable one and he is now ready to move on to his new posting.
“My family and I are very grateful to the Fiji Police Force for all the support rendered to us over the years. I have travelled around the country meeting Police Officers and their families. It was truly an honor serving in this organization,” said Rev Tikowale.
He adds that serving in the Fiji Police Force has taught him many lessons and he is confident that this will assist him in his new posting.
Acting Commissioner Juki Chew Fong said the event shouldn’t be regarded as a farewell but rather than a thanksgiving.
He adds that Rev Tikowale will still be around and members of the Fiji Police Family will continue to interact with him.
“Today is all about thanksgiving since we are here to thank the good reverend for all he has done during his term in the organization,” said Mr Chew.
Rev Tikowale and his family were traditionally farewelled after the morning service.
The Fiji Police Force acknowledges the service of Rev Tikowale and wishes him all the best in his next Posting to Navuso.
