Increase in MPAISA SCAM

The Fiji Police Force fraud investigation Unit has received numerous reports of Mpaisa accounts being hacked by unknown persons in the past few months.

People being targeted are the grass root level individuals who work hard for their living but are not familiar with today's modern technologies.

Government has today rolled out its first batch of $200.00 government grant for school assistance this year.

Please be cautious of dealings over social media platforms and avoid sending money to people selling online.

Due to the increase in scam please first check the status of your account.

Some Mpaisa account are suspended, on hold due to the recent increase in mpaisa scam.

Do avoid the sharing of Pin numbers and do change your Mpaisa Pin number, every once in a while.

Community members are advised to contact their nearest Vodafone Outlets to verify their accounts.
