SP Jitoko returns from Training


Deputy Director for Forensic Science Services, Superintendent of Police (SP) Sakiusa Jitoko paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew.

SP Jitoko had attended 11 weeks of training at the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia and had left in September last year.

This morning he briefed the Acting Commissioner on the trainings he went through.

“It’s quite challenging especially on the physical aspects of it. I thank you for your achievements. The skills you have acquired will carry you forward in the Fiji Police Force,” said Mr Chew.

SP Jitoko is a graduate of the Premier Forensic Institute in India where he attained a Graduate Diploma in Forensic Science.

He is also a crime and fire scene forensic expert and delivers lectures and workshops on the subject of Fingerprints and Crime Scene Examination at the Fiji Police Academy.

Since the early 1990s, the Fiji the Police Force has been provided study opportunities at the prestigious FBI National Academy.

The Fiji Police Force is thankful to the U.S. Embassy Suva for supporting capacity training of its officers.
