Divisional Police Commander, Western (DPC/W) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Iakobo Vaisewa took time out today to visit the Crime Prevention Committees (CPC).
Two members of the CPC took the initiative of locating the six horses which was stolen from their community.
They were accompanied by two Police Officers from Mulomulo Post on the 22nd of this Month and they tracked the horse’s right to Bemana in Navosa.
“They spent three nights in the forest of Bemana before locating all six horses. I commend our two friends for taking their time out to locate the stolen horses,” said SSP Iakobo.
He said the most people would report and sit back to watch Police do their work but the two decided to assist the Police with their time.
SSP Iakobo said this was the meaning of Duavata where the two institutions came together to solve a common problem in the Mulomulo Community.
“I wish to acknowledge the efforts shown by our two friends in assisting our Police team. I wish to thank their families for their support rendered while the two were away for three days.”
All the six Horses that were reported stolen at Mulomulo Community Post earlier this month were recovered and returned to their delighted owners today.
