Funeral of Late Constable Waqabaca


The Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Sakeo Raikaci led a delegation in paying the Fiji Police Force’s last respects to the late Police Constable Isireli Waqabaca who was called to eternal rest on the 30th of September 2023.

The fallen officer was 49-years old at the time of his demise and had served for a period of 13-years and 2-months as a loyal and dedicated member of the Fiji Police Force.

Delivering the Force eulogy was the Divisional Police Commander Central Superintendent of Police (SP) Farasiko Matawalu who described the fallen officer as a quiet achiever whose commitment to the maintenance of law and order was unwavering.

The late officer was enlisted on the 14th January 2010 and had served in the Ready Action Unit now known as the Police Mobile Force, Border Police in Nadi, and at the Nausori, Nakasi, Nabua and the Totogo Police Station’s Uniform Branch.

SP Matawalu said PC Waqabaca was a disciplined officer, had a great working relationship with colleagues and members of the public he served.

PC 4730 Isireli Waqabaca is survived by his two children Temo Waqabaca and Ema Waqabaca.
