K9 handlers depart for NZ


Police to Police cooperation efforts between the New Zealand Police and the Fiji Police is again being realized through the deployment of three Fijian officers to train at leading New Zealand Police training facilities.

A partnership that dates back to the early 70s, Fijian officers have been provided training opportunities at the leading NZ Police Dog training Academy.

Attending a NZ Police Narcotic Detector Dog Handlers Course in Upper Hutt, Wellington are Corporal Niumaia Lawanicina, Police Constable Ilimeleki Lèweiloma and Police Constable Sailasa Kerekere.

The officers are expected to graduate on the 24th of November. Vinaka vakalevu New Zealand High Commission, Suva for the continuous support towards the FPF.
