Wives Tournament Closing

It was a colourful end to mark the end of the two-day Police Wives tournament in Taveuni last night.

Officiating the closing was the Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations ACP Livai Driu who acknowledged on behalf of the Acting Commissioner of Police, the support of their families.

With policing being a demanding profession, ACP Driu said, "The success of policing is a shared success.

Without the support of our spouses, children and families, we would not be able to conduct our work.

We appreciate you all for holding the fort when we are called away for days. Appreciate the support of playing dual roles for our children".

He went on to say, "The purpose of bringing you all here is to also help you develop bonds and friendships, because we are a family, and should work together as a family for the betterment of our policing family".
