Inspector (IP) Kavit Mani has successfully attained a Bachelors in Public Security from the Jiangsu Police Institute in Nanjing, China.
IP Mani met the Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew to provide a back brief of the course which covered areas of public security, investigation, border management (Majoring in Narcotics), criminology, foreign and domestic security, economic crime and defence command.
In 2019, IP Mani had to temporarily put his studies on hold due to the global pandemic and returned to Fiji, and continued his studies online.
IP Mani stated the study opportunity had given him a lot of exposure and opportunity to exchange ideas with policing students from different countries.
“I thank the organization for believing in me and providing me this opportunity to study abroad.
I am honored to have been part of this training and my task is to share what I have learnt and work to the best of my ability,” he said.
Acting Commissioner Chew thanked IP Mani for his commitment and sacrifice in achieving his goals.
“Thank you for being a good representative of the Fiji Police Force and completing your studies and your duty is to share your knowledge with your colleagues to enhance service delivery to the people of Fiji”.
