"We Acknowledge your support", ACP Driu

In what has been a busy week of operations of Police, the Fiji Police Force would like to acknowledge the support of the general public.

Chief Operations Officer (COO) Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Livai Driu said with two major sporting events in the Central and Western Division, as well as VIP visits, Divisional Police Commanders were busy with ensuring the smooth running of the special and routine operations.

ACP Driu said manpower and resources were pushed forward including the 183 police recruits to support operational efforts.

“Aside from the special operations, routine operations continued as normal”.

ACP Driu said, “Our work is made easier when there is support from the community. We are at the receiving end of reports which is why we take proactive measures through community policing to prevent crime".

The Chief Operations Officer said there remains issues of concern such as crimes against women and children, traffic and illicit drugs, and Police are continuing to address these issues through community policing.
