The Minister for Home Affairs & Immigration Hon. Pio Tikoduadua began his Northern Police Division tour at the Nabouwalu Police Station yesterday where he reiterated his intent of restoring the blue culture of policing.
Minister Tikoduadua also challenged the young officers to step up to the challenge in taking the organisation forward as the Government is fully supportive of ensuring the leadership of the organisation remains within the Fiji Police Force.
The Honourable Minister also visited Lekutu and Dreketi Community Police Posts and Seaqaqa Police Station where he was briefed on policing operations and challenges.
Minister Tikoduadua was particularly concerned with the number of domestic violence cases and was briefed that majority of the reports were received after community awareness sessions were conducted at villages and settlements.
Day one ended with a visit and talanoa session at Nakawaga Village and a visit to the Copra Millers warehouse.
The Honourable Minister will be visiting the Savusavu and Tukavesi Police Stations and the Matei, Saqani, Korotasere and Wailevu Community Police Posts.
