Courtesy Visit


A Team from the Australia Pacific Security College (APSC) visited Fiji Police Headquarters yesterday on a courtesy visit to the Acting Commissioner Juki Fong Chew.

The APSC led by its Director, Dave Peebles, and the two Deputy Directors, Henry Ivarature and Jay Caldwell informed the Acting Commissioner on the activities of the APSC in the region and the potential areas of assistances and partnership in the Law Enforcement and Regional Security.

The APSC has been involved with the Secretariat of the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police (PICP), Pacific Immigration Directors Community (PIDC) and the Oceania Customs Organisation As recent as in 2022, the APSC assisted the three regional Law Enforcement entities in creating a space for collaboration through the facilitation and organisation of the first Pacific Regional Law Enforcement Cooperation Conference held at Denarau.

The APSC Director Mr. Peebles, a former Australian diplomat by profession was pleased at being able to visit the Fiji Police Force and appreciated the role the FPF played within the PICP and regional policing space.
