The Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration Hon. Pio Tikoduadua ended day one of his official tour at the Police Special Response Unit where he called on the senior hierarchy to reinvigorate the organization's motto of salus populi.

The Honourable Minister said it was the Government's intention to bring back the blue culture by entrusting the work of the enforcement of the law to police officers.

He said it was important for the senior hierarchy to reinvigorate the salus populi motto in the conduct of their work of providing service to the public and people.

The Hon. Minister said to do so, Police officers needed to equip themselves with integrity and professionalism and work according to law.

The Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration continues his tour in the Eastern Division this morning.
