A Kindergarten teacher has sincerely thanked the Fiji Police Force Community Policing Initiative by Sigatoka Police Officers to clean up her kindergarten school compound.

The building known as Good Shepherd Kindergarten and Good Shepherd Anglican Church which is used as a Kindergarten throughout the week and used as a church in the weekend.

The Sigatoka Policing District Veiqaravi Nadroga Navosa Rugby 7s team, together with youths from Yavulo Village cleaned up the compound and surroundings of the Anglican Church building.

Kindergarten Teacher Miss Sashi Prabha, has a school roll of 13 students, and she has been teaching at the school for 3 years.

“It is a good initiative by the Fiji Police Force Community Policing Team to come with the youths of Yavulo to help us in the cleaning up,” Ms Prabha said.

“It really looks attractive and a place where it is safe, and mosquito free, for our kindergartens to use.

This building is both a Church and Kindergarten, every Monday we turn this building into a Kindergarten classroom and then every Friday we reset it to a church again where people come down and have their church service here,” she added.

“Thank you so much Fiji Police Community Team and the youths from Yavulo for the work that you done here today, and I thank you for the initiative, I look forward to your coming again to help with anything that may be needed,” added.

After cleaning up the compound the Sigatoka Community Policing Cluster Chief Sergeant Voniani Namua conducted an awareness on road safety and other social issues to the kindergarten students.
