Police Response to Emergency

Officers based at the Vatukoula Police Station this afternoon responded to an emergency where a child needed to be transported to the Tavua Hospital.

The officers were deployed to the interior of Waikatakata, following a request for assistance received from the child's family as flood waters made it difficult for them to reach the hospital on their own.

The child who is also booked for a medical check up and possible surgery next week, is now admitted at the Tavua Hospital.

The officers also put in to assist mother and daughter with a few supplies.
