Strengthening Community Partnership

We would like to thank Mr Rajesh Chand Ashwin for supporting an initiative by officers based at the Labasa Market Post, as they strive to strengthen working partnerships with members of the Labasa wheelbarrow association.

With the increased number of positive drug raids conducted at the Labasa market in recent weeks, engaging the help of those working within the premises is aimed at encouraging members of the community to work with Police in curbing illegal activities.

Talks are also underway for the formation of a Crime Prevention Committee with vendors and those conducting businesses in the market area.

The support by Mr Ashwin greatly enhances efforts towards the formation of a CPC.
