Drowning Incident

A five year old child is alleged to have drowned whilst swimming in a pool at a Nadi hotel yesterday.

The victim was swimming with his cousins when the incident occurred.

Investigations continue.

The drowning death toll currently stands at 7 compared to 2 for the same period last year.

We reiterate the importance of proper supervision and that children should never be left in the care of other children.
