Drowning Incident

An unfortunate accident has resulted in the death of a one-year-old child, who is alleged to have drowned in a bucket of water.

The incident occurred in Nalawa, Ra yesterday afternoon.

It is alleged the victim was found motionless in a bucket of water inside a neighbour’s residence.

Attempts to revive her proved futile and she was conveyed to the Nasau Health Centre where she was unfortunately pronounced dead.

Investigators will be looking into the element of negligence.
