Drug Arrests

A 30-year-old man residing in Tomuka, Lautoka is in police custody after he was allegedly found with white crystals believed to be methamphetamine.

The arrest was made along Rogovoka Street, Waiyavi, Lautoka yesterday morning.

The substances have been sent for analysis as investigations continue.

In the Northern Division two men are in police custody following separate drug raids.

The first suspect, a 30-year-old farmer of Naweni was arrested in Labasa Town after he was found with several small bags containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

The second suspect, a 25-year-old farmer from Seaqaqa was arrested after he was allegedly found with marijuana seeds and upon further questioning revealed where his farm was located.

A raid was conducted where all substances seized have been sent for analysis.

Investigations continue.
