Please Monitor Weather

It’s Friday and most of us are looking forward to a relaxing weekend, however please keep in mind that for some parts of the country, the weather office has some warnings in place for more rain and possible flooding of low lying and flood prone areas.

Chief Operations Officer (COO) Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police (A/ACP) Livai Driu is urging members of the public not to let their guards down and continue listening to the weather advisories.

As of this morning, the Fiji Met issued a flash flood alert for low lying areas in the interior and western parts of Viti Levu from Sigatoka to Rakiraki (Greater Korolevu-Sigatoka-Nadi-Lautoka-Ba-Tavua-Rakiraki area) Vatulele and Kadavu.

Divisional Police Command Centres can be contacted if you need assistance and A/ACP Driu is requesting members of the public to be mindful of their safety, and continue listening to the advisories issued.
