Motor Safety Tips

Motor vehicle owners, please ensure your vehicles are securely locked at all times and keep in mind these safety tips;

1. Lock your doors - get into the habit of checking that all your car doors are locked, qnr windows are all up.

2. Remove your keys from the vehicle and NEVER leave your car running, even if you're just going into a store to grab something quickly.

3. Do not leave a spare key near your vehicle - there have been reported cases where cars have been stolen because of a spare key that was kept inside the car.

4. Avoid parking in poorly lit areas and try to Park in well-lit areas.

5. Don't leave valuables in your car. Leaving valuables that can attract thieves or opportunists makes you an easy target.

6. Be alert - if you see someone acting in a suspicious manner or loitering around the parking area, it's best to park somewhere else.

7. Double check - do a thorough check that your vehicle's windows and doors are up and locked before leaving your car unattended.
