The Divisional Police Commander Northern Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Viliame Soko was invited to officiate the Labasa Primary School Award Ceremony yesterday where he called on parents and guardians to be aware of their children’s activities.
SSP Soko reminded parents and guardians to be aware of their children’s activities in light of the rapidly changing technological environment.
He said with the younger generation’s use of social media and the world wide web increasing every day, parental supervision is vital as online content can affect their minds and behavior negatively.
He encouraged parents to spend as much time as they can with their children.
The Divisional Police Commander North congratulated the award recipients and all students for completing the 2022 academic year.
Students were also encouraged to be involved in activities that are constructive while on holiday and to come back better for a new academic year.
