IPPOS Program

The regional International Police Peacekeeping Operations Support Program (IPPOS) of the United States Government International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Bureau, and the United States Embassy Suva, got underway at the Fiji Police Academy attended by officers from Fiji, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Tuvalu, Kiribati, Nauru and Tonga.

The workshop is the first step in a planned sequence of activities which, over time, are intended to enhance Pacific island countries understand the UN police system, associated training architecture and policy frameworks to better position them to participate in UN police activities.
