Fatal House Fire

A four year old child died allegedly from burns sustained in a house fire in Waicoba Village in Sigatoka, yesterday afternoon.

The victim was with a 30-year old man who was trying to light a fire in their kitchen with zoom fuel, when it allegedly spread resulting in the two sustaining burns.

The two were rushed to the Sigatoka Hospital and later transferred to the Lautoka Hospital where the 4-year girl unfortunately passed away.

The 30-year old remains admitted in serious condition.

Investigations continue.
