White Cane Awareness Day

Officers from Totogo Police Station this morning joined the United Blind Persons of Fiji in celebrating White Cane Awareness Day.

The Day is celebrated across the world on 15 October every year, with the mission to educate the world about blindness.

White Cane Awareness Day is also acknowledging the achievements, the abilities and successes achieved by blind people in a sighted world and to honor the many contributions made by the visually impaired community.

The Fiji Police Force congratulates the United Blind Persons of Fiji for their achievements leading to todays celebration.
