Accident at Kasavu

National Fire Authority officers with Police are at the scene of a vehicle accident in Kasavu, where the branch of a tree fell on a car driven by a woman who was travelling with three others.

The incident occurred after 8am.

The driver managed to get out of the car, while attempts are being made to get the others out.

In another accident recorded yesterday afternoon, a vehicle driven by a man in his 40s, allegedly overtook another car at a bend and hit an oncoming vehicle driven by a man in his late 30s.

The incident occurred along the Queens Road near Vunaniu.

The suspect was travelling with four others who sustained minor injuries, and they were treated and sent home.

Investigation continues.
