reguregu to Police Constable Tunidau's family


A delegation from the Fiji Police and New Zealand Police Forces presented their reguregu to Police Constable Epineri Tunidau's family, following the deah of his mother Laisa Maraia Waka who was tragically killed in Sockburn in New Zealand.

The NZ Police on learning that the late Mrs Tunidau's son is a member of the Fiji Police Force based at the Sigatoka Police Station, initiated their own support systems in fast tracking the arrest of the perpetrator, the facilitation of the pathological services and assistance in ensuring her body receives priority enroute to Fiji.

New Zealand Police Senior Liaison Officer (Pacific) Superintendent Glyn Rowland accompanied the Fiji Police Force delegation led by Chief Administration Officer Assistant Commissioner of Police Sakeo Ganivatu to Nabiitu Village, Nakelo, Tailevu to present the joint reguregu on behalf of both Police Forces.

SP Rowland also handed over NZ Police’s assistance to PC Tunidau's family.

The Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho has also directed all necessary support be provided to PC Tunidau including the services of the Force Psychologist to help him get through this difficult period.
