Members of the Fiji Police Force joined the family and loved ones of their fallen comrade the late Corporal Vilitati Vasuca in bidding their final farewell at his village in Soa, Nakorotubu in Ra yesterday.
The late officer was based at the Korovou Police Station when he was called to rest on the 21st of December at the Korovou Hospital after a short illness.
This morning the Chief of Intelligence and Investigations Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Surend Sami led the Commissioner of Police's delegation to the late officer's village to pay their last respects to the late Corporal who had served more than 28-years in various Units such as the Fiji Police Academy, Nausori Traffic, and the Intelligence Bureau.
The late Corporal had also completed courses in Investigations, Medics, High Risk Environment Dignitary, Personal Security, Basic Intelligence, Communication to name a few.
Described as a humble individual, the late Cprl Vasuca was also fondly remembered by family and comrades for his caring heart and his desire to help his family and comrades even when he was sick.
The late Corporal always made time for others and shared what he could with those in need and was described as a family man who would always put the needs of others before his own.
The late Cprl Vasuca is survived by his wife Watalaite Marama and three children, Manasa Sevutia, Emosi Nameke and Sainimili Korolala.
May he rest in eternal peace.
