Officers return from UN Missions


Fifteen Police officers returning from tour of duty with the United Nation Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) and the United Nation Interim Security Force (UNISFA) in Abyei are currently undergoing a five day reintegration program.

In officially welcoming the officers back, Director International Relations Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ulaiasi Ravula conveyed the Fijian Government and the Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho’s appreciation on the successful conduct of tour of duty in their respective UN mission areas.

SSP Ravula also acknowledged Inspector Rusila Cakacaka who had established Fiji’s first UN footprints in Abyei serving under UNISFA.

He stressed the importance of utilizing the one week Post Deployment Reintegration Program to familiarize themselves with develoments and changes on the national front as well as within the institution.

The sessions also include individual and family counselling.

The program ends this Friday.
