FMF continues Sponsorship


FMF Foods Limited is delighted to be the naming rights sponsor of the Ratu Sukuna bowl for the second year in a row.

Despite border closures and the impact of Covid 19, FMF was hopeful that the competition would be held this year given to brighten up the spirits of Fijians and for the love of rugby.

The signing of the MOU was conducted yesterday at the Fiji Police Headquarters in CenterPoint between FMF’s Managing director Mr, Sanjay Punja, the Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho and Major Monty Naulumatua from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.

FMF Food Limited’s Managing Director Mr. Sanjay Punja said that competition started in 1951 to encourage brotherhood amongst the two forces and FMF encourages the same.

Any sport or activity that brings people together should be encouraged for the greater good of the country.

The Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Qiliho acknowledged FMF’s support noting the challenging economic environment.

The head of the Fiji Police Force said officers from the FPF and RFMF had worked tirelessly in support of the Ministry of Health’s efforts in dealing with the pandemic.

He added with FMF’s financial support as main sponsors, members of the two institutions will be able to, with their families and supporters end the year on a high as the FPF will be able to host the 2021 Tournament and showcase the very best of disciplined forces rugby.

The sponsorship agreement continues for one more year.

FMF is proud to be associated with the Ratu Sukuna Bowl and intends to continue its sponsorship for many years to come.
