Members of the current Basic recruits course were committed to Community Engagement programs this week in eight villages namely Nabuli, Nadoria, Suvalailai, Nukutubu,Nakorovou, Nalase ,Waivou, and Vunisinu in the Rewa Province.
The Community Engagement Program sets the platform for formations to actively contribute to training and was also a transition phase for the recruits as three weeks later, they are moving out from Fiji Police Academy to their respective stations.
Nadoria village-headman Akuila Bulai acknowledged the initiative as it strengthens relationships between the Fiji Police and the community.
The Reruits conducted village organized activities and planted trees with the assistance of the Ministry of Forestry.
