POLICE SENIOR OFFICER CHARGED

A senior Police Officer will be produced at the Suva Magistrates following the sanctioning of charges by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The senior officer is alleged to have directed the unlawful detention of an individual at the Totogo Police Station in April 2017.

He has been charged with one count of abuse of office and will be produced at the Suva Magistrates Court today.
