OPENING OF THE NEW DAWASAMU POLICE POST

The organization has achieved another milestone today following the opening of the refurbished Dawasamu Police Post in Tailevu.

The rebuild community post was officially opened by the Honorable Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and is now in compliance with the Fiji National Building Code which can withstand any form of natural hazard.

The previous Police Post was swept away by Tropical Cyclone Winston in 2016.

The Prime Minister while delivering his speech said the rebuild of the post is vital especially during times of hardship.

He adds that the support from community members is paramount as it will boost service delivery by officers at their designated stations.

This initiative was part of the organization's plan in this financial year to safeguard the tikina of Dawasamu.

Three officers have been assigned to man the Community Police Post that serves over 2,000 Fijians in Dawasamu.
