A total of thirty -two arrests [32] were made in the last 24hours including three students involved in loitering and drinking alcohol.

The Western Division recorded twenty- four arrests [24] whereby sixteen [16] people were found drunk including two students aged 15 and 16 years old.

Of those sixteen, three men in their 20’s were arrested at S.M.Koya road area in Lautoka.

Three cases were also recorded at the Tomuka area in Lautoka, two others aged 28 and 19 years old were arrested at Waiyavi while two men were found drunk at the Martintar area in Nadi.

The remaining six cases that were recorded including two students aged 15 and 16 years old who all found drunk and threw stones at houses in Natabua area in Lautoka.

Five cases for loitering were recorded at the Nawaka area in Nadi.

Also arrested in the Western Division is a 26 -year old man who was found walking at the Lauwaki area while the two other cases were recorded for loitering in the Vomo Area in Lautoka.

Five people were arrested in the Southern Division including a 14 -year- old student who was found loitering at the Maunikoso area in Nasinu.

Also arrested is a 47 -year old security officer who was traveling in a vehicle without a valid reason.

Three other cases were related to alcohol including a 29 -year old man who was resisting arrest and assaulting two officers when approached also damaging police vehicles in Lami.

The Northern Division recorded three cases where all people were arrested for drinking at the Tuatuta area in Labasa.

The inclusion of three students arrested for curfew breach over the last 24hours is a concern and please parents and guardians keep a close watch on your children and make sure everyone to be at home before the curfew hours.
