COVID-19 RELEASE (39)

Another fifty nine (59) people were arrested over the last 24 hours for alleged COVID-19 breaches.

Fourty two (42) of the 59 reported arrests were due to breach of curfew, ten (10) were sports related and seven (7) for failing to adhere to social distancing restrictions.

The Southern Division recorded thirty one (31) arrests, twenty one (21) for breach of curfew and ten (10) for sports.

West recorded fourteen (14) breach of curfew cases.

North recorded three cases of curfew breach while East recorded two cases.

Central Division recirsed nine (9) reports in total, two (2) for curfew breach and seven (7) for failing to adhere to social distancing restrictions.

Seven people were arrested as they were found under the Stintson Parade Bridge allegedly breaching social distancing measures.

The onus is on every individual to take responsibility of their actions and be mindful of maintaining physical distancing, and failure to comply will result in Police taking necessary action.
