Couple arrested for allegedly possession of illicit drugs.

A team from the Fiji Police Detector Dog Unit (FDDU) whilst on mobile patrol in Kinoya yesterday arrested a man who was allegedly found in possession of illicit drugs.

The officers were drawn to the suspect who was carrying his child, as he was acting in a suspicious manner while talking to another man in a car.

Upon searching, they found bullets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

A further search conducted at his place of residence where the second suspect a woman was, led to the discovery of more bullets of dried leaves believed to be marijiana.

Both suspects were taken into custody and the seized substances have been sent for analysis. Investigations continue.
