Meet Your Officers

Meet Police Constable Prashant Sami of Nasinu Police Station.

The 23 year old is originally from Etatoko in Ba and was a member of Batch 63, who graduated from the Fiji Police Academy in June last year.

He served in Valelevu Police Station for 4 months before moving to Nasinu Police Station, where he currently serves in the Chargeroom.

A son of a press operator at Bombay Trading Company in Ba, Constable Sami, said joining the Police Force was a dream come true after two unsuccessful attempts to join in 2020 and 2021.

He dedicated his achievement to joining the Fiji Police Force to his family.

“My mother stays home, and my father works as a press operator, and i am the youngest of two children.

With the support and love of my family, am I able to become a police officer,” he said “I’ve always wanted to be a Police Officer and despite previously trying, and not making it, I did not give up and kept trying and I was happy to make the final cut last year,” he said.

Educated at Xavier College in Ba, Constable Sami wishes to pursue further studies in Information Technology whilst he juggles with his young police career.

“I've always been interested in I.T, and if given the opportunity, I will further my studies in that field and apply that knowledge in the Police Force,” he said.
