Police Officers out in numbers to assist students as the new academic year begins

Police Officers stationed in the West were out in numbers to assist students crossing the roads as the new academic year begins.

The Western Divisional Police Commander (DPC/W) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Surend Sami said it's vital for officers to be present in schools and ensure safety for them all especially on the road.

Police vehicles and Motorcycles in Lautoka were also roving around schools and town areas to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

Similar concept applies to all Policing Districts in the Western Division.
