Creating Hope through Action

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day with the theme “Creating Hope Through Action”.

In 2020 the Fiji Police Force recorded 94 suicide cases and 108 attempted suicide cases.

Of the 94 suicide victims, 7 victims were under 16-years of age, 21 aged between 17-25 whie the rest were above the age of 26-years.

Of the 108 attempted suicide cases, 12 were under 16-years, 40 victims were aged between 17-25 years and the remainder aged above 26-years.

On this World Suicide Prevention Day, we want to share the message of hope.
