26 year old man charged with one count each of theft and burglary

A 26 year old man will be produced at the Rakiraki court tomorrow charged with one count each of theft and burglary.

The man allegedly stole the assorted items worth up to $5000 from a teacher's quarters in Rakiraki when the owner and his family were away.

The matter was reported to police and upon investigations and information provided from members of the community resulted in the suspect's arrest.

The suspect then later led the police team to where he allegedly hid the stolen items.
