Corporal Solomoni Kiniboi’s graduated

The People’s Republic of China through its Ministry of Public Security continues to assist the Fiji Police Force with training opportunities even during the global COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in another Fijian Police Officer graduating from one of its leading learning institutions.

This follows Corporal Solomoni Kiniboi’s graduation from the Beijing Foreign University after completing the International Law Enforcement Liaison Officers Program.

Cpl Kiniboi who is based at the Fiji Police Academy’s Research and Development Unit was offered a scholarship to study at the Beijing Foreign University in August 2019, but due to COVID-19 he was sent back to Fiji where he continued his studies online.

The International Law Enforcement Liaison Officers Program focused on addressing Police Structures focusing on Human Resources and the emerging criminal landscape.

Cpl Kiniboi said it was an honor to have been given the approval to study in China and network with Police Officers from other international policing jurisdictions.

After successfully completing the Program, Corporal Kiniboi graduated in Fiji via a virtual graduation ceremony.

Since the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Governments of Fiji and the People’s Republic of China in 2011, the Fiji Police has benefited greatly from many forms of assistance provided through the Ministry of Public Security through various training opportunitiesas well as the provision of resources and specialized equipment.
