Mobile Command Unit

The Police Special Response Mobile Unit has been deployed to the Eastern Division.

Over the past few weeks, the Mobile Unit was deployed in various locations in the Southern Division, and on Friday the team from PSRU were deployed to the Wainibuku area.

The Mobile Command Unit concept which was initially trialled at Mead Road, saw the deployment of PSRU officers to densely populated areas where they play a supporting role to Divisional operations efforts.

The setting up of the Mobile Unit was also supported by the management of Inter Island Freight Services Limited.
