Commissioners appreciation to the NZ Police

Fiji’s Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has conveyed the organisation’s appreciation to the New Zealand Police Commissioner Richard Chambers ?for the prompt deployment of an explosive detector dog and handler? during Operation White Wave which saw the destruction of 4.15 tonnes of methamphetamine.

Commissioner Tudravu extended the organisation's heartfelt appreciation for the invaluable assistance rendered by the New Zealand Police?, significantly enhancing the safety and efficacy of the operations conducted on the 24th day of February 2025.

Fiji’s Commissioner said the expertise and professionalism exhibited by the New Zealand team was crucial in ensuring a secure environment, allowing it to proceed with the destruction of the illicit drugs as mandated by a court order.

The Fiji Police Force values its strong collaborative relationship with the New Zealand Police where through continued engagements, we are able to effectively address pressing challenges posed by illicit activities in the region.
