Drowning Incident

A medical officer in his 20s is believed to be the country's latest drowning victim.

The victim was swimming with two others yesterday afternoon in the Nausori River in Nalawa, Ra when he was allegedly swept away by strong current.

Help was sought from nearby villagers where they managed to recover the victim's body.

A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain cause of death as investigations continue.
