Formal Dinner


A formal dinner was held at the Fiji Police Officers Mess in Suva last night to farewell senior officers and congratulate newly promoted officers.

The special dinner was an opportunity for the senior hierarchy to congratulate the fourteen newly promoted officers as well as to farewell the six senior Police officers who will be retiring from their life of service.

Chief Operations Officer Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Abdul Khan while delivering the formal remarks to the retired officers said, “On behalf of the Commissioner of Police, I am here to convey his deepest appreciation for your life of service and for always putting Fiji first before everything else and upholding the oath to serve”.

“You have not only served with integrity and with loyalty, but you have also left behind your legacies as you have impacted our professional growth and some of us are here today through your guidance and mentoring, and we will never forget you all for your contributions to policing”.

The six officers retiring are Superintendent of Police Anil Prasad, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Waisea Sivonamalo, Inspector (IP) Randhir Prasad, IP Ajay Nand, IP Rakasala Rabici Tamanikalevu and IP Manasa Tuisawau.

ACP Khan said the dinner was also an opportunity to congratulate and badge the newly promoted officers. He congratulated them for their achievements and said with the promotions come added responsibilities.
